Victory Faith Centre is an independent Church which stands for Traditional Pentecostal Christianity. It was founded in the year 2000 by Pastor Craig Savige with Elder Samantha Savige and Elder Matthew Verschuur. The meeting hall was originally used as a library building.
The Church holds regular meetings, such as the Sunday morning and midweek services, as well as other meetings, including prayer meetings and Bible studies. There are also water baptisms, and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper every fortnight. Services follow an established pattern, which include offerings, Scripture reading and congregational singing. Songs consist of older Pentecostal choruses and some hymns and are accompanied by guitar or organ.
The leaders of the Church believe that it is necessary that anyone claiming to be a Christian should come out of “Babylon”, meaning that believers should not align themselves with the declining state of so-called Christianity and the various churches, especially Protestants since 1798 for their compromise with Romanism, Fundamentalists since 1882 for their compromise with modern versions, and Pentecostals since 1968 for their compromise with feeling-based religion.
Victory Faith Centre stands for the continuation of the true Protestant, Puritan, Evangelical, Holiness, Fundamentalist and Faith Pentecostal tradition of the Christian religion, maintaining that there is indeed a true and correct doctrine which must be obeyed. “Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.” (2 Thessalonians 2:15).
The Church promotes the traditional Gospel which highlights mankind’s condemned state and need for salvation by believing in and on the Lord Jesus Christ. The Church therefore rejects an emotional “gospel” as a way of salvation, but emphasises the need for a new heart, and that following Christ is a serious commitment of faith.
The Church stands for traditional Faith Pentecostalism, which is reliant on the Holy Ghost and the Word. The doctrine of God’s goodness, willingness and promise to heal, prosper and impart wisdom is continually preached.
The Church holds to the King James Bible as the pure and perfect Word of God for the present world and that no improvement or alteration can be made or allowed in the text of the Authorized Version as it has now been received, namely, that one particular edition of the King James Bible, known as the Pure Cambridge Edition, is the final form of the Word of God (printed by Cambridge University Press circa 1900 to the 1960s, and by Collins Publishers to around the year 2000). This belief may be called a simple faith in the power of God to actually provide His Word through history, regardless of enemies (sinful men and devils). With respect to the modern version issue, the Eldership has taken up guardianship of the Pure Cambridge Edition of the King James Bible as the one and only Bible to ensure that it is kept pure into the future of Christian witness on the Earth.
The Church believes that there are different valid modes of interpretation of prophecy, namely a historicist view and a futurist view. The historicist view shows that prophecy has spoken of events throughout Church history, such as the Papacy; the present, such as God’s ability to keep and build the Church; and near future, such as the imminent rise and fall of Gog and his confederates. The futurist view shows that Christ is coming to take away the Church after a period of blessing, and that there should be seven years of tribulation on the Earth, after which Christ returns with the saints to establish a millennial rule, at the end of which is another Gog and Magog war concluding with a great final judgment on the present creation.
The Church acts in accordance to a restitutionalist viewpoint, namely that God actually intends for Christians to prosper in the presence of enemies; that Christ’s commission is for whole nations to be converted; that there should be a massive evangelisation of the Jews; that the King James Bible, English language and Christian heritage should be established; and that Christ is not returning for a defeated Church.
Victory Faith Centre is located in Australia. There are many signs of God’s providence showing that Australia is to be used mightily of God as a Christian nation in the near future. There are many signs out of history, such as the following: * The historical establishment of the King James Bible through government and Churches. * The availability of proper printed texts of the King James Bible around the year 2000. * The very presence of the continuation of Christianity
descending from Britain and the United States, as proper * The prior status of English use as a language for world-wide evangelism. * Various national blessings have fallen into place at the

Although Victory Faith Centre is quite different from many other groups claiming to be Pentecostal, the doctrine of Victory Faith Centre and the various providential circumstances show that the working therein and therewith is by God, and that God is indeed using the “despised” to bring to nothing things which seem to be something. |
