THE SHIPS OF CHITTIM

In Daniel 11:30 we read that as a precursor to the events described in the rest of the verse and the rest of the chapter, that the “For the ships of Chittim shall come against him”.

This means ships in the Eastern Mediterranean. Now, we have had the news full of a story about 59 missiles that were launched from American ships onto Syria. That mighty hail also has affected the Russians, who are in and backing Syria too.

Potentially this could relate to another Bible prophecy soon at hand, “Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.” (Isaiah 17:1b). Prolonged warfare can do it, like Aleppo. But then there are other options and other players.

There was a debate on homosexual “marriage” while participants drank beer (from a company which was the alleged sponsor of the event) as convened by the Australian Bible Society. The same beer company was also bringing out commemorative beer for the Australian Bible Society.

Something is wrong with this kind of “Christianity”, and something is wrong in Australia.

Certainly, the Australian Bible Society has wandered and reeled far from its origins.

Let’s turn back to an early meeting of the Auxiliary Bible Society of Australia Felix, as reported back in the Melbourne Argus, 7 November 1849. In those days, the King James Bible was THE English Bible.

For long centuries the British people in all their settlements have enjoyed the incomparable blessing. More copies of the Divine Word have been published in our language than in all other tongues combined, and the numbers of the English translation annually issued far surpass those of all the world beside.

This fact demands gratitude to the glorious Author of the Eternal Truth, and should excite in the breast of every Briton, a sense of deep responsibility, demanding a profound regard and practical respect for God’s word and commandment.

In truth, wherever the British tongue is heard there also the British Bible is found, and the servants of God, in this great empire, are concerned that the Bible shall be possessed, and perused, and obeyed, by the people, as the palladium of our liberties, and the instrumental cause of our excellence.

That sounds like a golden age of Australian Christianity. The Scripture prophesies about the current state of Christianity in Australia.

“But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.” (Isaiah 28:7).

In Bible days, the Assyrian Empire came and conquered them. How can we resist Russian aggression if we are not in line with “Temperance”? Step one in this temperance regime is to turn back to the good old King James Bible which made the British Empire great.

The Bible when believed, will make Australia great again. Pretty much people need to get silent and get humble.

“Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.” (Isaiah 41:1).

In the Albert Barnes commentary, we read of God the Father, JEHOVAH. This is from Isaiah chapter 42.

“The chapter may be regarded as divided into two portions. In the first from ver. 1 to ver. 9, the prophet describes the Messiah. JEHOVAH is introduced as speaking, and in vs 1–4 he describes his character. He is the servant of JEHOVAH, endowed with the fulness of the Divine Spirit; meek, and lowly, and gentle, and kind; unobtrusive and noiseless in his movements, and yet securing the conquest of truth. JEHOVAH then, vs 5, 6, 7, addresses the Messiah himself directly, and states the object for which he had appointed him, to be a light to the Gentiles, to open the eyes of the blind, and to be the pledge of the covenant between him and his people.”

The problem is that the modernistic transcriber, someone like Larry Pierce with his digitisation project, took it upon themselves to make corrupt changes to the truth, substituting the name of God “JEHOVAH” with some heathen deity.

Albert Barnes wrote “JEHOVAH”, yet modernists have deliberately altered this in the 1980s/90s. We have Bible prophecy in Ezekiel 39 that the name of JEHOVAH will be restored.

A number of times in Revelation it refers to earthquakes. The historical Protestant understanding of Revelation interpreted these to mean revolutions of society and upsetting the political order. Interestingly, with the election of Donald Trump as US President, there have been numerous references to “earthquake” and “quake” in the media.

“And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
“The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
“The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.”
(Haggai 2:7–9).

The Gospel’s power and the effects for the future of the Church is to be as a great shaking too.

The morass of filth and spiritual compromise today is being addressed by two adverse powers. One approach is being presented by Alexander Dugin, the other by the Bible believing Spirit-filled Christianity as taught in sincerity and truth.

Dugin, a leading Russian political philosopher, is calling on the power of the Sun (i.e. Helios, the mystical sun) to burn up the “swamp”. (A reference to a Donald Trump description of the American establishment.)

However, the Scripture has laid out its solution to the “lovers of their own selves”, etc. It says, “But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men” (2 Tim. 3:9a). When political correctness, lies and compromised Protestant Christianity comes to its full extant, it can “proceed no further”.

English translation of Alexander Dugin’s flattery of Alex Jones:

Very recently I happened to be in a Catholic High School’s library, and I looked in the 220 section, which has Bibles and books about religion. As I browsed the various books, I came across a startling book about “Social Justice”.

I skimmed through the book, and was struck by how completely this book was presenting a Socialistic, extreme left-wing view, telling the children to not only promote a communistic equalisation of society, but to become activists, that is, ideological warriors who would participate in a variety of actions like propaganda campaigns, unruly street protests and other such anti-patriotic, anti-traditionalist and anti-conservative activities.

It is truly shocking that the bare-faced communistic message pushed by Lenin or Latin American groups would be so profoundly and openly allowed and lauded for today’s young. And this book was put out by some Roman Catholic group.

Another book nearby, also from a Catholic publisher, was called “Rainbow Serpent Theology”, which basically lamented that Christian missionaries had converted Australian Aboriginals, and that now these left-wing Catholics would promote this pantheism.

The fact is that what are actually radical, extreme and vile teachings of social justice and antichristianity is now being pushed by a whole faction of the Roman Catholic organistion. What is worse is that a whole section of High Anglicans and the Uniting “Church” have likewise turned to this way of thinking. The Eureka Street Jesuits, the Caritas organisation and others are poisoning hundreds of thousands of young minds.

Pr 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

We are in the middle of a social, cultural war where the left seem to dominate the entire space.

We need to turn back to the Bible and its world-impacting influence and outworking through Anglo-American culture.

Ps 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Human kind is not “equal”, but rather, each person is either closer to or further from the ways of God. Only Christ Jesus can make a person right before God, and it is in Him where everyone has their place. Some people are called to one thing and some to another in the Kingdom of God.

The socialistic and anti-Christian teachings spewing forth in the world and among many religious organisations today about “equality” is decidedly against the teaching of the Bible. It is not “liberation” to make your own way in life. The Christian religion gives true liberty, because sin is a great overmaster. Those promoting all those left-wing causes are actually promoting license, and are trying to create an environment where the Word of God has no effect (e.g. their anti-Gospel message to the Aboriginal elders).

Why don’t the people who are called prophets tell the Jews this?

“Convert to Protestant Christianity, ‘But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.’ (Romans 10:19), we’re here to ‘provoke them to jealousy’ (Romans 11:11). We know that ‘these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.’ (Romans 11:31). This is the mercy, hear us; this is the refreshing, join us.”
